Washington State Regulations
In Oregon, all employers with one or more employees must carry workers’ compensation insurance, either through a private insurer or by becoming self-insured if they meet the requirements. Sole proprietors and partners are automatically excluded but can choose to opt-in for coverage. Corporate officers and LLC members with a substantial ownership interest are also excluded but may elect coverage. Oregon’s system emphasizes worker safety and rehabilitation, offering extensive resources for both employers and employees to manage workplace injuries and claims effectively. Compliance is monitored by the Oregon Workers’ Compensation Division, ensuring adherence to state regulations.
